4 Days Lake Mburo & Queen Elizabeth National Park: This 4-day wildlife safari takes you to two of Uganda’s most remarkable national parks. Your adventure begins at Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park and the only one where you can enjoy a guided Uganda safari walk. During the walk or a game drive, you will have the chance to see a variety of wildlife, including large herds of zebras, buffaloes, impalas, giraffes, warthogs, and waterbucks, among others.

From Lake Mburo, you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a vast and diverse ecosystem covering approximately 1,978 square kilometres. The park is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including 95 mammal species, over 600 bird species, and 10 primate species, such as chimpanzees found in Kyambura Gorge. One of the park’s unique highlights is the tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha Sector, a rare and captivating sight not to be missed.

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Afternoon Boat cruise

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park: After breakfast at your hotel, your driver-guide will pick you up for the journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, you will make a brief stop at the Equator in Kayabwe, a unique landmark where the northern and southern hemispheres meet. It’s one of the rare spots on Earth where you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere, a perfect photo opportunity and a fascinating moment to experience while on a Uganda safari. After the stop, you will proceed to the park, arriving in time to enjoy lunch at your lodge.

Afternoon Boat cruise: In the afternoon, head out for a scenic boat cruise on Lake Mburo, offering a great opportunity to spot hippos, buffaloes, and other wildlife along the shores. Lake Mburo National Park is renowned for having the highest population of zebras in Uganda. You may also encounter impalas, oribis, and a rich variety of bird species. Later, you can enjoy an evening game drive, perfect for spotting more mammals such as giraffes, zebras, and other grazers as they become more active in the cooler hours. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game drive – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Morning Game Drive: Wake up have breakfast and go for a game drive, look out for animals which are habitat in the park such as Impalas, Zebras, Oribi, Topi, Elands and so on. Lake Mburo also is one of the few parks where one can choose to do a guided nature walk and spot most of the animals as if you are on the game drive.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park: After the game drive return to your lodge and check out. Later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with lunch enroute and arrive in the evening proceed to your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Moring Game Drive: After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, an area teeming with wildlife. This is a prime time to spot a variety of animals, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, and many more. The open plains offer excellent game viewing opportunities and stunning landscapes.

Afternoon Boat Cruise: After the game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for hosting one of Africa’s largest populations of hippos. This relaxing cruise offers incredible views of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and various antelope species, as well as a wide array of birdlife for visitors who enjoy birding experience. It’s a perfect way to experience the park’s aquatic and bird ecosystems. After the cruise, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Depart back to Kampala

After enjoying 2 successful days in Queen Elizabeth, it’s time to check out of your Lodge after breakfast and depart for Kampala or Entebbe with lunch en route. Drop off at your Hotel in Kampala or at the Airport for your onward flight back home.
