2 Days Lake Mburo: This two-day Lake Mburo Safari takes you to Uganda’s smallest national park, which is located approximately 240km south west of Kampala, for a game drive and a boat ride. The Lake Mburo National Park is home to over 68 mammal species such as buffalo, bush pigs, leopards, and zebras, as well as various bird species. It is famous for having large numbers of Zebras and large herds of Elands, the biggest antelopes in Africa, It is also the only park in Uganda where you can see Impalas and the only park where you can go on a guided game walk while on a Uganda safari.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo – afternoon boat ride – Game Drive

Transfer to Lake Mburo: Have a morning breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, after which you will be picked up by your driver guide, who will also brief you more about the 2 Day Lake Mburo Safari. You will later drive to the southwestern part of Uganda via the Masaka road. You will have a stopover at the equator crossing in Kayabwe. On arrival in the park, continue for lunch at the reserved hotel or lodge

Afternoon Boat Cruise: In the afternoon you will have a 2-hour boat ride along the lake where you will have a great time having a chance to see different animals like the crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes along the lake shores and birds like the fish eagles.

Evening Game Drive or Night Game Drive: After the boat cruise, you will have an option of taking an evening game drive in the park, where you will be able to spot animals like topis, elands, warthogs, buffaloes, zebras waterbucks. Another option will be for a night game drive offering a rare opportunity to spot nocturnal wildlife such as leopards, bush babies, white tailed mongoose and hyenas. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Depart to Kampala

Morning Game Drive: After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive, where you will spot zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, buffalo, and more. Alternatively, you may also opt for a guided Uganda walking safari, allowing you to observe wildlife up close.

Depart back to Kampala: After the game drive, check out and begin your journey back to Kampala. Enjoy a stop for lunch along the way, as well as another stop at the Equator for photos or souvenir shopping. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Kampala, either your hotel or the airport.
