The 4 days lake Mburo and Bwindi gorillas is a safari that rewards you with the opportunity to set eyes on variations of attractions in two national parks that is lake Mburo national park and Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will start your journey from Kampala and drive with the guide to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will spend your night and then engage in a game drive in the morning. You will then be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will also have the night and the following day you will engage in a gorilla trek and a batwa cultural experience that will expose you to the culture of the Batwa people. You will then head back to Kampala on day 4, after the wonderful Uganda safari. Both lake Mburo national park and Bwindi impenetrable national park are open to visitors all year round; therefore, this safari can be conducted at any time of the year, though the best time to visit is during the dry season in the months of June to September and December to February. These parks receive a large number of visitors during the dry season.

Day 1 : Pick up and transfer to lake Mburo national park
In day 1 of the 4 days at lake Mburo and Bwindi gorillas, you will be picked up by a representative guide from your location and transferred to Lake Mburo national park. On your way, you will have a stopover for photography at the equator monument at Kayabwe. You will have another stopover at a hotel in Mbarara for lunch and then you will head for a tour to Igongo cultural center where you will learn about the traditions and culture plus the history of the people of Ankole. Igongo Cultural Center is a museum that preserves various artifacts of the Ankole people and also displays numerous historical items from the country as a whole.
After having a tour around the Igongo Cultural Center, you will then proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will have dinner and spend the night in a lodge of your choice.

Day 2 : Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the second day of the four-day Lake Mburo and Bwindi gorillas safari, you will enjoy an early morning game drive after having breakfast at the lodge.The Uganda safari guide will pick you up from the lodge after breakfast and transfer you to the park headquarters. You will start at the park HQ and then be taken to the game drive by a guide. This game drive will grant you the opportunity to see the numerous animals and birds in lake Mburo national park and these activities will be done with the help of the guide. You will spot animals like zebras, leopards, hyenas, impalas, klipspringers, eland, among others. Once the game drive concludes, the guide will take you back to the lodge for lunch, after which you will check out.
You will then set off for Bwindi, an impenetrable national park. When you get there, you will check in at the lodge, take a bath, and have dinner. After dinner, you will retire to bed.

Day 3 : Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience
On Day 3 of the 4 days at Lake Mburo, you will have your breakfast very early in the morning at the lodge, and then you will head with the guide to the park headquarters for a briefing. The park guides will inform you about the guidelines to follow if you are on a gorilla trek. After this session, you will be allocated a ranger guide who will lead you on the gorilla trek to the forest. You will follow various trails in search of the gorillas and this activity may take about 1 to 7 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas in the forest. Once you’ve spent several hours searching and found the gorillas, you’ll have just one hour to spend with them in their habitat. You will use this time to capture memories and analyze their behavior in terms of associating with both humans and themselves, as well as how they feed and play.

The Ugandan guide will then return you to the lodge and you will have lunch. After lunch, you will head to the Batwa communities for a cultural experience. In these communities, you will get to interact with the Batwa people and learn about their culture, traditions, and way of life. The guide will teach you about the Batwa communities’ hunting skills, food gathering techniques, and craft-making abilities. You will later head back to the lodge and have dinner. After finishing your meal, you will retire to bed.
Day 4 : Depart to Kampala
The lodge will serve you breakfast on day 4, after which you will check out. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will check into a hotel where you will spend the night before heading to Entebbe airport for your flight the next day.
